The MultiModem II is the ideal modem for multisite, multicountry corporate operations running mission-critical applications.
What's your line? With the MultiModem II, you can use one modem with different types of lines, depending on where you are. It works with dialup lines, 2-wire leased lines, and 4-wire leased lines. If your application demands uninterrupted service, use the MultiModem II for dialup backup. Put one modem at each end of a leased-line connection and make a second connection to a dialup line. Then if your primary leased line goes down, you have the dialup line as a backup.
Speedier. You can upload data at the V.92 standard of 48 kbps, which is 30% faster than the V.90 standard. This speed reduces the time it takes to send e-mails with large attachments and large files. The modem offers a top download speed of 56 kbps.
Safe and secure. The MultiModem II offers passthrough and fixed callback security. With "fixed" callback security, the modem stores a password and the associated remote phone number. Once the remote user enters the password, the central modem calls back. The modem supports up to 30 stored accounts.
Think globally. Work locally. Because the MultiModem II has approvals in so many countries, you can use one modem for all your offices around the world. Better yet, you can configure all your modems remotely from your home office.
